On October 14 and 15, Wenatchee Valley Medical Center hosted an educational workshop for the Washington State Cancer Registry and the Washington State Tumor Registrar's Association. Attendees came from across Washington State, Oregon and Idaho.

During this event, WVMC’s American College of Surgeons cancer liaison physician, Thomas Carlson, M.D., presented an educational talk on radiation modalities for cancer patients. In addition, Sharmen Dye—WVMC’s tumor registrar and president of the Washington State Tumor Registrar's Association—provided updates and led a roundtable discussion.
