Katie Kemble, ARNP, a member of the Medical Oncology Department, recently completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Washington.
The DNP is a new doctoral degree that has three dimensions: advanced practice, practice inquiry, and leadership. The integration of these skill sets enable a doctoral prepared nurse to advance nursing research, influence health policy, and promote quality health care. DNP graduates provide leadership in multiple areas, including quality improvement and systems management.
